If you can visit our shop in person we would urge you to do so as you will be amazed by the number of different items we stock. As well as resin ware animals, figures and abstracts, Roots also stock a huge number of carved animals including cats, dogs, horses and dolphins. Roots have a particularly large selection of elephant related items, including carvings, carved wall hanging, cloth wall hangings, bookmarks, bags, photo albums and elephant stools or planters. We also stock a range of iron ware products, including many candle holders, as well as mirrors and lanterns. The gallery links on ROOTS EMPORIUM HOMEPAGE gives some idea of the many unique (see the root chairs and tables under furniture) and unusual items we stock. However you will find a great deal more variety in our shop. Whether looking to furnish your home with something distinct or seeking unusual gifts Roots is well worth taking the trouble to visit.
We are five minutes from junction 26 of the M1 and Ikea. Please see home page for map

Did I, you ever tell that tale
of when in youth I did set sail
for Africa from port of Louth
and met a hippopotamouth.
Twas in the Nile where we docked
and having shored, were greatly shocked,
to see that beast we did not know
and hear it called a hippy hippo.
I faced my nemesis eye to tooth
and noticing that it was loose,
set it straight with glue and glee,
being trained in orthodontistry.
But I must say that graceless beast
was nothing grateful in the least,
and gave chase to the lot of us
that dreadful hippopotamus.
We ran, we swam, we hid with guile
within a friendly crocodile,
at last when we were safe away
we cried with thanks hip hip hurray.
So my friend take my advice
and stay in England where it's nice,
where in terror you need not fly
from horrid hippopotami.
